Runway “Dancer”

*laughs* ”That’s true”

 

We attended a kids runway fashion show sponsored by Save the Children showcasing the newest trends from 77kids by American Eagle, Hanna Andersson, Little Miss Matched and GapKids.

 

As many of you know, our lil’ monster is a party rockin’ baby! He would definitely stop in the middle of the runway and get his boogie on. He should compete on America’s Best Dance Crew and I will guarantee you that he will wipe all of the other dancers away! Is that a challenge you want to accept? Then shoot me an email and GAME ON! 

 

I’ve been told that our lil’ pretty boy should model. I am flattered because he is photogentic and he has the personality of mama’s. Hmm.. Maybe, one day. Look out for this upcoming fall. The lil’ monster and I have an exciting project coming up. *hint: Coming soon around Boston Fashion Week* 

 

*I apologize for not taking pictures, I had forgotten my camera and my iPhone storage space went over the limit (Over 2,000 photos). I didn’t have time to transfer them on my laptop since I had attended a Runway Fashion Event the night before with a girlfriend and I. I would like to thank Chris Sanchez for taking tons of photos of us! Can’t wait to see them. We definitely was the life of the event, don’t you agree? *wink*

Speak for the Trees

Ever read “The Lorax” by Dr. Seuss?

 

The Lorax is about a fuzzy, orange and grumpy but charming little creature who fights and protects his world. He shares the enduring power of hope.  As my son grows older, I want him to learn and understand “the message” from what the Lorax wanted to spread out.

 

 

“I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongues.″

 

If you haven’t read or seen “The Lorax”, I recommend it! It’s a great children’s book by Dr. Seuss; one of the greatest childrens authors of all time. Recently this past year, they turned it into a film produced by Illumination Entertainment and was release by Universal Pictures on March 2, 2012 which would’ve been Dr. Seuss’ 108th birthday. It’s such a great and inspiring story. It has a powerful message.

Wamesit Falls Overlook

There are days when you just want to sit back and relax and watch nature take it”s course. We went for a walk down the Wamesit Falls Overlook, which is a canal that runs from a dam on the Concord River. The Concord River is a branch of the Merrimack River that is located in Eastern Massachusetts.

I’ll interpret the rocks, learn the language of flood, 

storm, and the avalanche. 

I’ll acquaint myself with the glaciers and wild gardens,

I want my son to grow up and appreciate life outside what society portrays. Not many people take the time to appreciate mother nature’s beautiful creations. With all of the damaged that’s been going on, it still leaves a mark; a story. If you look at things at a different point of view, you’ll see the beauty of it. Go out there and take a ride with mother nature. You’ll never know what kind of adventure she’ll lead you to. That’s where you can also leave your mark and say…

 It’s the lil’ monster’s godparent’s “Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Feast”

 

Each year, the lil’ monster’s godparents throw a memorable and fun event for our family and close friends. It’s such a special time of the year because it’s 4 celebrations at once. It’s their anniversary, daughter’s first birthday, the lil’ monster’s godmother’s birthday and Easter all in the same weekend. Now, that’s something special!

Life in Polaroids

Back in 2011, I decided to share “Life in Polaroids” where I was capturing the moments thru polaroids (created thru picnik.com) via iPhone. The most recent polaroids start from the top; from left to right, going backwards down to the bottom.

 

 

Then, I found instagram. I’ve always heard of instagram but never quite checked it out. I know, I’m on the slow boat.

 

Ever since I came across instagram, I fell in love! It’s an easier way to share your photos with family and friends. Unfortunately, the lil’ monster threw my phone again and again and AGAIN. So, the top bumper of my phone popped out and damaged the camera part. I was using my husband’s phone to take pictures until I got a new phone (again) for the meantime. Since I’ve finally received my new phone, I’ll be capturing MORE instagram moments for all of you to adore!

Catching Up

Hello My Darlings,

 

Alright. Go ahead. Yell at me for being M.I.A (missing in action) I’ve been on a roller coaster ride with someone called “Mr. Flu” I ended up passing it down to a friend. I didn’t realize I had it until she came over to help me out with the house (Yes, a mother sometimes needs help cleaning up the house. It’s called motherhood when you have a little tasmanian devil running around.) The next day she ended up getting sick. I thought I just had a really bad cold along with conjunctivitis. It was not a pretty sight. My ears were plugged, coughing up a storm and I kept sneezing left to right. If I made a dollar out of every sneeze I had, I’d be a rich woman. Ugh, I hate getting sick. 

 

For the past month, I’ve been catching up with a few good friends. It was great to see them all. A few weeks ago, one of my mama friends had a big hot pot dinner at her “mansion”. (inside joke- BIG house) The kids had a Pull Ups Potty Dance Party from House Party. We had some great laughs and unforgettable moments. It’s sometimes hard to catch up with friends especially when they are also juggling with motherhood. Sometimes motherhood keeps you occupied that a woman just needs some girl time. And sometimes when you become a mother, your circle of friends change. It’s not a bad thing. Some friends become distant; some become stronger but you always create new great relationships.

 

There’s so much more to tell but I need to put down the lil’ monster. (again) He’s been on the nocturnal side. I’ve been sleep deprived. Sooner or later, he won’t be a lil’ monster anymore. Or maybe he’ll become a BIG monster. Oh, I don’t like the sound of that. *laughs*

Hello My Darings!

 

How you’ve been? I apologize for not updating my blog. I’ll admit, I must be the worst blogger ever. It’s been almost 3 weeks and I finally have the chance to update you all. I’ve been so busy with reading, writing, studying, planning for upcoming events and projects and on top of that, chasing the lil’ monster around.

 

Lately, I’ve been inspired with stories. The art of Storytelling. And that is why I have this personal blog. I was thinking a lot about my future along with raising my family. I’m starting all over. I’m going to fight and work hard for what I really want. Go for my passion! I have so many ideas, plans and exciting upcoming projects I want to all share with you. But for now, it takes time. It’s a new year and just like a “tweet”heart of mine, Candace Derickx says, “The countdown is on! 341 days left on this earth! This year I’m going to live like it’s ending!“ (According to the Mayan calendar)

 

This past weekend, my dad came up from Florida to visit since he had a business trip up in New York. It was great seeing him! We had some great laughs (inside jokes), stories and news to catch up. Speaking of news; I have some GREAT news! You’ll just have to wait and find out. *smiles*
